    Concessio that CWB has a fairly workable system for Orgaanics & Seed growers

    I'll concede that the CWB has a fairly workable system for Organic growers and seed growers. That doesn't add any value to conventional farmers; in fact may be the main reason why all may not be granted similar concessions. So where is there any support from those who have been accommodated; to ensure that conventional farmers get similar breaks.

    Begood,

    Very good point.

    CWB's Flatten had the final word on Pedigreed Seed/Organics last night in Camrose.

    Flatten said that seed had no displacement value on the CWB pool... therefore it was zero to one Pool effect... so the buyback on Pedigreed planting seed was zero.

    Flaten is simply wrong. Pedigreed Seed exported to the US grows a crop.

    If the CWB is not telling fibs... and our special genetics and the resulting higher quality make Western Canadian quality at all different:

    Then one Bu of Pedigreed Seed creates 50 times the volume(in the next crop produced) this then IS replacement of CWB pooled commercial grain production... is obviously NOT zero.

    It is at least 50 times. Once again the CWB want to blow and suck at the same time.

    Giving away our Pedigreed Seed ...unrestricted...is like giving out (Free) Tim Hortons Franchises in the US and EU... and supplying the donuts at whosale prices while paying probono the advertising bills for the freeloaders on the backs of the present 'Tims' Franchise holders in Canada.

    The CWB are not being honest at all about why Pedigreed Seed is exempt the Pool buy-back. By the way... Export Planting seed NOT of Pedigreed status... must pay the CWB buy-back like commercial grain. THis whole system is a cruel hoax.

    Organics:

    Flaten said;

    Western CDN Organic wheat going into Japan has a one to one displacement... therefore must pay the pool account the full buyback cost. Different countries... different buy backs.

    The Sniders (Little Red Hen Mills) were there... and complaining with strong evidence that the CWB is still messing around with Organic wheat and barley buybacks.

      |Sounds like the BS excuse when I asked the then Board chair why organics are treated different than other traceable IPO programs, the aurgument that there is no displacemnet is bogus unless they are loading the product into a rocket and firing it into outer space, as long as it is used for any purpose on this planet it's competing with my product.
