    New Deere combine unveiled.

Deere introduced the new series of combines
    today S650 S660 S670 S680 and S690 full
brochure a Deere. Our three 9770 arrived new
series would have been nice. The cab is bigger,
more hp, better hopper. Trac option, better
    chopper with options. Etc.
    Well maybe next year.

Some of us will never know the smell of a new combine (except at the farm show).

Red is still best. All the hype around the deere I thought they would really do something spectacular like copy Case CVT drive, or copy their larger cleaning area like they copied cases Rotor, but no all they did this time is copy cases bigger cab. Have they gone to a color monitor or is it still Monochrome? Has Deere fixed the spontanious combustion problem?

Oh well someday you will have it as good as a Case Owner. LOL

We have never enjoyed the smell of a new
        combine either.
Around here most of the guys with new
equipment never run it themselves anyways. You
work to get in a position to run new machinery,
and when you get there you hire someone else
        to run it.

Have to admit I also like Case's self levelling cleaning system, and the ease of unplugging if it ever happens.
John Deere has a better pick up and unloading system. New one still only a dream for me.

You should be at a 70,000 dollar trade up for next year per combine. Not sure, let me know how it goes, I believe the pre buy is not out yet. Plus more for a new straight cut header if your into that.

I know you said much cheaper trade up last year but local dealer admitted 45 thousand to up grade one year old combines last year. I don't think he would admit a higher price more likely lower. And pretty low hour machines around here last year.

Deere also has a better straw/chaff chopper and spreader.

One year trade should be $100000.
North America is awash with one year old combines that big operations discard.
How could it be economical to need a new combine every year when 90% could never afford one?
If the dealers are overstocked things will change.
Keep your combines 3-5 years so the rest of us can afford them.
