    Friday Crop Report!

Ah got to love Fridays! Well probably last weekend off before the silly season begins.
    10 is 60 plus plus!
Notes this week, little bit of rain 1 inch on most but major hail storms all around Adjusters are being tough on guys. Lots of sunshine and heat.
Almost dry enough to put skinny tires back on sprayer for fall. Did spray seed pea field and will finish the peas Monday and Tuesday next week. Lots of green areas in other fields.
One other observation for our area is second growth in HRS and Canola and Flax. Will this be a problem later on with grade possibly.
Canola Crop swathing has started at Edgeley but nothing north of valley.
Lentils and few pea fields around Indian Head harvested.
    Durum 9 to 10
Hrs 8 late HRS coming but need more heat.
Oats 10 plus but not plus plus. Not my worst but not my best. Heat at heading hurt.
Barley 10 plus plus. Wow what a crop hope it makes malt so can send to Canada Malt.
Peas 6 flooded out area really hurts peas possibly last year growing them were just way to wet.
Canola moving up a little this week if missed the hail. 7 maybe possible but late would have to make it. Early seeded on Pea stubble awesome. Middle on thick wheat stubble is the shits the thicker the trash the shittier the crop. Late really nice and big pods just needs heat.
For a note the fields of guys who sprayed really early are weedy. Wild oats is king. Flax fields are mostly really dirty plus peas.
Their is a Soy crop in area and Wow does it look good. Seed grower did 60 Acres and Wow is all I can Say. Lets see what happens maybe just maybe peas will be dropped and Soy will replace.

Durum 50-60 plus, wheat 45-55 plus, canola 40-55 plus, the big surprise is green lentils which are not what they should be 20-25 with a couple fields that will hit 30. red lentils 25-35. yellow peas 35-50. A decent pulse crop but once again cereals and canola handled heat and early season moisture stress better than the pulses.
