Early in his career Churchill believed that 'liberalism' strived to feed the poor, while socialism strived to break the rich.
True socialism cannot be defended by any rational person who's ever been out of his house.
Nothing's perfect but I can still hope for the day when I hear the loud POP! coming from the East when enough ears leave their asses!

Is advising doing nothing the only action?
Can we not at least keep up the pressure on our MPs?

        Blackpowder,

I agree totally with talking with our MP's... newspapers and media... communication of how the grain growers need commercial market based signals to best create value and prosperity for our local communities.

Sadly the CWB intentionally recinds property rights for the individual... to assure they exist to control that wealth for themselves. Socialism at its 'worst'... destroying assets of those they claim to serve.

Without the freedom to choose ... the prosperity of humanity will we lose.

The CWB can not create wealth... only the western Canadian grain grower's and industry's work and dedication to quality and integrety... creates value.

We can communicate without the CWB smiling... and pointing their single desk buyers 'gun' at us while we work!

John... I agree... the CWB has truly become a giant waste of time and money... by their own choice.

"Is advising doing nothing the only action?"

Sorry to mislead - I'm just saying that when it
comes to the CWB's plebiscite (survey), "don't
          bother" voting because it's irrelevant.

"Can we not at least keep up the pressure on our
          MPs?"

Absolutely. As well - spread the word about how
good the open market will be to everyone who
will listen. Apparently some need convincing.

If you believe in free will...
              If you believe in chance...
              If you believe in choice...
              Fight for it

From the movie trailer for "The Adjustment
              Bureau"

                Good points John.
I think the CWB argument that they will not survive with out the monopoly will actually move the government to end it. They are not really adding the market value they think they are.

On talk radio Dave Rutherford commented that he was not concerned that people don't vote.It just means that the non voters are content with the decisions of the ones that did .

I'm not concerned at all - either way. Because
                      the CWB's plebiscite is irrelevant.

I still say if you are looking for marketing
freedom, don't waste your time and effort.

                      As Oberg says, "Why bother?"
