    Canola by air

Canola seed is sold out now around here as some plan on putting it on by air. Acres are going in one way or another. Some used heavy harrows and valmar on land with pig manure and they gey good results. But risky by plane I would think.

    newguy,

Canola has been planted for decades in the Edmonton area... by aircraft... with good results. If moist... just work in with a harrow/light cult and many productive harvests have resulted. Good plant fertilisation program and weed control are keys to a productive crop. Barley the same. Eugene Boyco did it every year... with good results... didn't own a seeder for many years!

I have seeded lots of canola by air. Works good like tom4cwb says as long as it is harrowed in,fertilized and kept clean.
