Wheat with valmar?

Has anyone had any experience broadcasting wheat on with a floater or valmar? How'd it work?

If they ground is solid mud it has no oxygen, it has to be loosened up or the weeds wont even grow. Please dont waste your money on brodcasting onto mud.

Depending on the size of your harrowbar, for instance, broadcasting wheat at a rate of 2 bushels per acre might overwhelm the capacity of the venturis. You may have to cut the rate in half and do the field twice. You will also need 12 groove rollers. But it has definitely been done.

A Terragator will handle the product without any problem, but it will leave pretty big tracks in wet ground. And you'll add more tracks when you harrow it.

I seeded barley with an airflo from the farm supply dealer and would again if I had to. We put on about 2.75 bus/acre filled up at the malt bin. we pulled an NH3 cultivator after, couldn't get to all the places we floated but most got of the ground covered. pulled about 60 bus of barley. make sure you seed enough to get crop insurance establishment. the very wettest spots only germinated about half, the good spots were quite good. It was a bit rough but a viable option.
