I thought there may be a bad thing coming after
the big late friday us government debt
ceiling,budget reform bla bla.

Still early but a quick jump is great to see.

Next few days are going to be interesting across
the market spectrum.

As the US dollar becomes worth less, or worthless, the commodities and stocks priced to it will numerically rise accordingly.

That's my take on it anyways.

I haven't calculated it, but a better indicator may be a ratio between an oz. of Gold and a tonne of wheat/canola/corn/etc. I wonder how the numbers look now compared to five years ago?
