    $2 billion to Quebec

The Harper government is ready to cut a cheque to Quebec for $2 billion for gst harmonization. That is if the gov't doesn't fall this week.

Gee I wonder how Quebec will vote on budget this week?

Add this to the $7 billion? from "tough on Crime" bill and the extra $12 billion they didn't tell us about on the new fighter jets (that weren't tendered) etc etc.

Wow! For a straight laced Economist he is spending money like a Drunken Sailor

Just like mulroney,he is probably walking out of hotel
rooms with suitcases full of cash.

Wait till the housing bubble bursts and cmhc starts
paying the the banks 50 billion a year, then we will
really have something to laugh about.

Plus a NEW First. This is the first government to be held in contempt of Parliament in our history.

Ah yes the accountable, transparent and high ethics of a gov't sworn in a short time ago... have come to this

              Mustard,

Would you expect anything less of a Liberal house speaker... and an opposition that is in majority on the Committee that votes?

There is no other rational outcome... considering who holds the power and majority!

The outcome was never in question. The facts are certainly out in the public domain... never before has so much information been available to the opposition... who are in charge of everything in the Parliament of Canada.

There will be a coalition to tear this country apart from stem to stern... if the Bloc hold the balance of power in our new government the Liberals, ND's and Bloc (Liblond) are planning.

How much do you truly think that 'Liblond' will cost?

              100B? 200B?

You honestly feel the Liberals were never in contempt when they had a majority? If they were in a minority position the same thing would have happened. I didn't realise you held the Liberanos in such high esteem.
