Auditor slams Ottawa lack of leadership on climate change

http://home.mytelus.com/telusen/portal/NewsChannel.aspx?ArticleID=news/capfeed/national/OG1025.xml&CatID=National

Money quote:
As Atlantic Canada is battered by extreme storms, the Prairies suffer billions of dollars in crop losses because of drought, and the permafrost in the North melts, "the government is not ready to respond," Vaughan said.

Not sure what planet he's talking about.

Farmranger,

Didn't you know... every day that goes by... our 2011 spring crops suffer more... and the yields drop. Especially when it is minus 40 outside.

If the permafrost melts... then we can go north and grow grain for a hungry world!

Are Storms in the Atlantic caused by 'Climate Change'?

Perhaps that one might pass as a comment on the obvious!

For the most part the Prairies were a little wet and cold this summer, drought isn't exactly the word I'd use to describe our weather.

We had at least twice the normal rainfall, and half the normal heat units here.
