    Grading Standards from around the world.

    I ask any one from another country that reads or stops buy on this web page to enlighten us on what grades a feed wheat in your country. What grades a #1 milling wheat. How does protien effect the grade and do they use falling numbers.

          For what it is worth, the Ukraine mainly used gluten strenghth as a
          grading factor. As they enter the world market more, protein was
          coming to the forefront (at least 4 years ago). Not sure on falling
          number/other factors. Companies like SGS were doing a lot more work
          in the Ukraine to allow better identification of buyer required attributes
          and Ukraine grain matchup. Their grain handling system made this
          difficult and little to no price signals to the farmer with the exception
          of the extremely large farms who had their own grading capability and
          those with supply ties to international grain multi nationals.
