Don was always one of my favorite guys to be a the speaking podium with. His creativity and different way of analysis made marketing grain interesting and fun. He will be missed.

        Quite a distinctive clear voice.

        Sad to hear.

I have to remember the fun times with Don. The blue moon theory and the relationship with the sex life of turtles on the Galapagos Islands. Really about the impact of changing Pacific Ocean temperatures on agriculture in the South and North America. A unique way of communicating and having information stay in farmers minds.

Don always had a great style in presenting the markets. Remember being at one of my first meetings with him. I have always remembered this line but not always practiced it. He was talking about a very strong up surge in market prices. His quote. "Remember hogs always get slaughtered".

'Beans in the Teens' and Canola over 10bucks...

And in his passing... both are true today!

Don's positive and uplifting presentations are a true part of western Canadian culture that needs to continue and be built upon!

God bless him... and may he rest in peace.
