    Canpotex

So what are your thoughts on this monopoly? Does having canpotex monopoly help due to the fact that they raise the cost of this ingredient for our competitors? I understand that most areas in Western Canada do not need to use much potash like where I am at. I could be wrong. Also does anyone see much chance of the ethanol subsidies disappering due to US bankruptcy and suddenly there is a huge surplus of corn?

    Give potash marketing choice.

Maybe Ritz can rig a plebiscite for them.

They already have marketing choice as Canpotex is not a legislated monopoly but rather an entity based on willing partners. The CWB has willing partners such as cchurch, wmoemis & stubblejumper but without marketing choice as they want their wishes forced on others.

Jobs aside. As a Farmer I like the idea of cheaper potash which one would assume would be the result of the Monopoly gone. We use on average 30lbs of actual K per acre on our farm.

Choice2u I am assuming you are refuring to me, with spelling errors :-)

Where and how did you come up with the fact that I don't want marketing choice? Is it because I am willing to accept marketing choice if it is fare and equal to all players and the proper guidlines are in place so we don't loose or give away control over our industry. Like it was pre Board days or after what happened to the rail system with the demise of the CROW.

I have stated many times that I agree with SOME of the duel system supporters ideas. I also agree with SOME of the CWB philosophy. Or is it because I don't finish each statement with "SCREW THE CWB" that makes you think that I am totaly against a open system and a pro CWB suporter?

Don't mix Pro Board, duel market and anti Board views up.

Sorry about that...I guess my memory is a little rusty as I thought you were a strong board supporter. I used to believe that if the CWB transitioned without force that it could take advantage of its strengths and do fine in a dual market situation but as the status quo fight seems to be to the death, I like many others are now saying "if it is all or nothing, I'll take NO CWB".

I enjoyed the last two posts on "duel" system and "duel" market. That pretty much sums up the situation, but the retort that the "status quo fight seems to be to the death" was absolutely priceless.
