    Sept 2011 Canola

    Prices are above $10 again for Sept/Oct depending on
    basis. What are your guys thoughts on signing up
    some bushels. We have now priced some Canola, HRS
    and are looking at Soy and Oats for fall 2011.

      Price a lot of 2011 canola already, my thoughts are if its a good spring, this country is gonna be all yellow flowers.

          The whole NE will be wall to wall canola. I have guys that have 100 quarters that werent seeded this year, can you guess what their going to seed next year.

              More of interest to me right now is what can/should we expect basis be come march thru to aug. I see a number of $10.00 basis and I wonder if we could see a o or positive basis by then?

                  Depends, if farmers can collectively HOLD canola to create tighter supply. If delivery continues to be adequate, market will trade projected acres and NORMAL weather after new year.

                      If you couldnt seed because of moisture
                      this year is it going to be drier next
                      year? You sure you want to price a crop
                      you may not be able to seed?
