Friday Sat Sun Awesome then Rain Monday! Yea.

Well it looks like were going to get three nice days to harvest, Friday, sat and sun. Oh wait we had inch or better to dry out, and then today's rain and wed. Probably wont go this week. Long pea harvest gets longer. Some guys just desiccated last weekend. Yields are poor for peas due to all the flooding.
Had to quit swathing Canola last night at 7 do to rain. Mudd building up on canvas and end wheels plugging. Actually end wheels were problem, probably take off today and just use skid plates.

Noticed a lot of dead ripe lentil crops out yesterday when going to Estevan, they will be some joy cutting off that wet ground now, especially now that they're curling over. Peas that are still out there, aren't much higher off the ground. Ripe oat fields breaking down, a tangled mess as well. not a good start.

Sure glad we dont have much to harvest, it looks like it might be another cold wet fall. I took my 8yr old son for a ride on the swather yesterday and he asked me why we were swathing weeds. I knew these crops would be bad but not this bad. We will be lucky to get 5 bus per acre.

Repeat of the spring pattern, and someday will be wishing for rain just not real soon!

Feels right to wish, hope or pray for rain. Just feels awful to curse it. Crop is poor with both moisture extremes, rather have drought. IMO
