Mitchell Grain Co. Stony Plain AB – Bankrupt

Mitchell Grain Co. Stony Plain – Bankrupt

We received a notice on Friday indicating Mitchell Grain Co. has declared bankruptcy. ... There are a number of producers, companies and commissions who Mitchell owes money to.

They weren't the most prompt in paying for a while. I guess the
old saying "where there's smoke there's fire" applies here.

You are so right about slow paying being a sign of trouble. Twice I've dealt with companies who took several months to pay. Luckily I did get my money but both went bankrupt within 6 months.
The same thing was true with Big Sky.
Out of curiosity, what commodities did Mitchell Grain Co deal in ?

They were buying feed grains and such. Just another grain buyer
in the long and hoary tradition of grain buyers.
