OH dear, the 8120 has a hard time pulling 70 feet of flexicoil light harrows. The 535 is getting put onto the harrow.

1/2 section were seeding today this when done will put us at 16% completed. All Mu-dded in. But unfortunately we got stuck at 5, then 6.15 and finally at 8. Were shut down for the night. With new drill the tank stays up with the duals but the drill once you lift the shanks out the tandems plug and then its like pulling a anchor. Fun.

Here in ne sk guys are picking away on their drier land and finding its not as dry as they thought. But, what they are finding is that the dastardly winter annuals are once again off to a great start. We were about 40% done seeding last year when we started doing spring burn-off,but, with conditions last spring, cool and frosty we thought we pretty much wasted our money as control was poor and were wondering if we should do same this year. I'm wondering what some of you are doing this year. Ya I know the stuff is cheap(3.65 l maverick)and your going to go spray but its still $5-600.00 a 1/4 plus time and hours on sprayer for p-poor control. Was wondering how some of you are dealing with this continuing problem.

Must spray foxtail barley to kill mature plants in canola stubble. It's taking over the farm. It really gets established in any non glypho crops. Also last years thin frosted canola allowed later weeds. It is warmer than last year. Weeds are growing. We have seen poor control too.

We are just spraying ahead now, behind 600ac canola and 300 wht now. Have to start sprying this afternoon ahead of peas. Calling for 70% chance of rain tonight again. Have about three days then the first of the canola seeded will be up.
We have done this before seed then spray with great results(prepass on wht just at emergence), but it is risky. RR canola is sprayed at 1 leaf so not too worried.
Warm weather keeps getting pushed back two days, much the same as last spring.

Happy Mothers day to all. Just got finished making choc/chip waffels with a touch of Mexican Vanila(sp). My 6 year old does most of the mixing now.
