What is the deal with the CWB guaranteeing China a certain dollars worth of malt every year, new deal. Does every western farmer get a screw me stamp put on his forhead or is this something good? I see Viterra is 49 percent owner in a soon to be built crushing facility in Guangshou. Obviously that is good because a canola crusher crushes canola and we grow that. Now this malt deal, does anyone know anything about it????

Ritz cracker signed another goofy agreement, to sell a product that we already sell to Chinie. If'n we have a few bad years and malt doesn't meet standards, then none will be sold to Chinie. Same old, same old, phoney agreements to make headlines, ta get reelected. PC's pretendin to care, what else is new.............. -
ya not the Conservatives trying to make headlines to look good though... CWB sells times that much malt to China every year, so it would seem that they are trying to make it look like they have done something great for the farmers, when really all they are doing is putting on a little smoke show... they are doing it anyway, why don't we hear about every sale they do??Comment
