    Grow Canola 2.015

Apparently the internet machine is going to revolutionize agriculture. Kinda goofy, i'd prefer to have frost tolerance, sclerotinia resistance, nitrogen use efficiency, and bug resistant canola to revolutionize canola production on my farm. Much the same as fertilizers, machinery and genetics have done previously.

Will the internet make you a better farmer?

Looks to me like they are spending money because they have it. I would guess it is an idea ahead of it's time. I picture a very lonely agronomist at the end of the line, much like the Maytag repair man. Agronomic information is easy to come by. Any idea how many calls are taken by a chem companies toll free line or is it a requirement.
Let them revisit in 5 years, the technology will have changed by then anyway. For now I am looking for improved specific end use traits in my canola. If the yields/IP premiums were worth it I would sell my whole crop that way.
