So according the government, The northeast never got several inches of rain in October, two feet of snow in the winter, and of course our soil was bone dry in the fall. Maybe thats why we were getting stuck with the combine, trucks and had a heck of a time even getting the crop out of the field due to slimy rutted dirt roads!!! LOL
Man, I'm trying not to be cynical, and i haven't had the opportunity to dig into the soil with my bare hands in other areas, but is it really that bad, or is the gov't out to lunch on other areas of the maps?
And yes, checking I agree we need to cut back production. If we all strove for 30 bushel canola, and were happy with that, we'd be getting 12 or 14 bucks for it. But no, lets go for 50, and get 8. (I sin in this regard too). But dang I seeded my first canola with 50 cent a pound excel, and grew reasonable (35) crops, and made way more money than I can with these ridiculous
Seed prices now. Don't miss the weeds and treflan though. LOL
