I do those paper calculations for my farm every fall for the next year and before seeding after seeding and after harvest. I know what your saying but every year i keep coming up short from all my best calculations and even when I allow for a 10% contingency fund for the worst case I seem to be just treading water. I enjoy farming and don't want to get out but these are wealthy men - they should know better.

To see the silver lining - if these guys make money there's a pretty good chance family farms will be making money also. So there is optimism in watching them.

PNM their is way better accounting firms that will handle farmers. Way better. These guys get a guy to form a company for no reason then gouge him with huge fees.
