American's refuse to accept deflation! and by doing so, will be burdened with high unemployment(10-12%) for years to come, maybe a decade. What kind of recover can you have with so many people not earning and spending(particular middle class who spend sooooo much of their income on retail and services) By extending unemployment benefits, workers will continue to refuse to take lower paying jobs, but Asia won't. They'll snap-up the lower paying job in a heart beat and hence will have a grip on more and more manufacturing jobs.

Are the Chinese saying to us with respect to CANOLA, "We are accepting deflation, you need to as well !" ???

Parsley is commenting on the canola issue on Parsley's Notebook.

            Parsley's comment from her notebook.

"Can you think of, somewhere in the world, who would buy a few ships of low grade canola right now?"

Why would you call it low grade? Maybe low priced but certainly not low grade. My guess is the UAE is already crushing it and wanting more.

If that is the gist of her Blog , then I am glad I don't read it. We have enough dirt piled on us without that type of comment.
