Some producers in our area AI'd a few
cattle Belgian Blue, and the vet was happy,
everyone had a C-Section.

Must have brought some bad ones over here then because they are used quite a bit in the UK with no more calving troubles than Charolais, Simmentals etc.
The trouble with calving was that originally in Belgium they did not select against cattle having calving difficulties. They were quite happy to do a C-Section every time - small numbers of cows and very valuable calves.
