Pasture rentals rates for 2001

We are for the first time renting our pasture this year. Our proposed renter wishes to put 50 cow/calves. We will attend to fences, etc. Can someone out there give me some idea what we could charge?

In my area (Red Deer Alta.) the standard rate is $25/cow calf/mo. but a lot of people are asking up to $30. In this area there is a great demand for pasture as every man and his dog is expanding like crazy! In some ways it looks like a pretty steep price but with land selling from $1400-$2000 an acre I guess it's pretty resonable. Also $900 fall calves make the pasture rent look pretty affordable.
