I find it strange that here in the heart of free enterprize and Tory Blue our main paper, the Red Deer Advocate, is like a champion of every goofy liberal socialist idea around? The editor rants away every chance he gets on every social evil in the world!
But the real kicker is this woman columnist Mary-Anne Barr! You can count on her to bring every old commie idea to the plate every chance she gets!
In yesterdays paper she outdid herself!
Her rant was we need to slow down growth in central Alberta! She admitted it might create some economic hardship but she was sure prepared for it if it got those darned oil field pickups off the roads! Now is this a dingbat or what? Maybe she should join the real world and get a real job! I think she is lost in space or something?
I would sure like it if someone else would start up a daily in Red Deer that actually reflected the attitude of the people who live here...instead we get the old eastern commie drivel! Oh well I guess nobody forced me to throw my buck on the counter and buy it, right?
Actually I know one Advocate reporter very well and he told me if you don't put the proper(read that pink) slant on a story the editor "tunes" it up! So much for freedom of the press!
The Edmonton Journal is another commie rag and seldom worth reading. The Calgary Herald is slightly better! The Calgary Sun is more reflective of Alberta attitudes but is mostly just drivel.
