    prolapses in feedlot cattle

I am looking for information on prolapses in feedlot cattle. I know a feedlot that has had 5 steers prolapse in the last month in one pen out of 150 hd. All in the same pen, all on the same ration as the rest of the lot. The ration is approx 12.25% protein and NEg at 0.45Mcal/lb. The forage:concentrate ratio is approx 50:50. Please reply if anyone has any ideas.

I need to know how long cattle have been on feed and if a coccidiostat is being used at the recomended rate. From what you are explaining it sounds like coccidiosis

Riding other animals is also a cause of prolapses. Has anyone checked for chronic bullers? Sometimes a group of steers will pick one animal out, and harrass it. Are there heifers in the pen? (Or the pen next door)
