    Still haying!

The neighbor has this little patch of native grass across from my pasture. Probably about 5 acres. I usually bale it up for him for his horses but it was too wet this year.
Anyway he asked me if I thought it was still worth doing...and I told him no. Now my cows are grazing right across the fence and he thought if they could eat that grass then why not his?
He already bought hay so doesn't want it but said I could have it. So I hooked up the haybine and whacked it down...it was amazingly green underneath and very easy to cut.
Going to roll it up today and will haul it out to individual closed fields and roll it out. Probably not worth the extra trouble but still if it feed my cows for a few days so what the heck?
