Some Movement of Live Cattle

Just picked up news release from Yahoo.CA

From Mexico:

"We have technically accepted an agreement that could create some movement in live cattle between the three countries," he said.


Trujillo did not say what the health rules entailed or when they would come into place.


"It is an agreement that right now puts an emphasis on (cattle trade) between Canada and Mexico but is actually focused on movement between the three countries," Trujillo said."

Apparently, their major incentive is to allow entry to dairy replacements.

I think this is very encouraging. Although I think it wise to remain cautious until we actually hear the rule from the USDA there is renewed reason for hope for an improvement soon. Mexico has definately been on our side throughout this crisis.
