    Barley Greenfeed

    Started swathing a crop of barley to roll up for greenfeed. There is no hay in this part of the world. I'm wondering how much trouble the beards on the barley might cause my cows. Haven't fed barley GF since 2002 and didn't have a lot back then. Metcalfe barley if that makes a difference. I invite your opinions and any suggestions. Thanks

          Thanks wil. Looks like the awns are a wild card. Probably will try to keep the percentage of barley in the ration at around half and hope.
