Just when the cattle business looks good we get word
that we are to be fracked. They seem to be
undertaking a systematic fracking project in this area
- 2 horizontal sweet gas wells under every half
section running the full mile north to south. In a
devious twist they do not approach the landowner
they are going under - instead they put the well just
through the fence on the neighbours property
presumably as a way to pit neighbour against
neighbour and get easier access as a result. All made
easier by the Land Bills passed by the Communist
Conservative party of Alberta in collusion with Big Oil.
Anything for a dollar in this petro-state.
Just how can we be so dumb as a society?
I've heard they use up to 4 million gallons of water
per well, water that is removed for ever from the
water cycle. Add in the tons of toxic chemicals
including known carcinogens. Well site proposed
within 200m of our water wells and 300m of our
house.
I don't really have the time or resources to fight this
battle but a battle there will be before you drill and
frack 4 wells under my property.
