Watching the Alberta government

The fall session of the 2012 Alberta Legislature is set to start October 23, 2012. According to the government's "Order Papers" found at this link:

The agendas for the session is spelled out on these Order Papers. Again, according to this webpage, Bill 202 the Public Lands (Grasslands Preservation) Amendment Act, 2012 is to be given "second reading" on October 29, 2012 (Monday).

Watch the "order papers" webpage for the scheduled agenda(s). Keep up the pressure on our government, about all issues, and don't let your voice go unheard.

Our government does not think we are stupid, they know we are. [We are not stupid - are we? Have we given up? Are we going to sit back and let global governance become the order of the day, with our elected officials pushing foreign agendas against the better good of our own families/communities/nations?]

Right now they are busy trying to look like Mr Logheed liked them all I wonder what else will pop up to give them a reasom to go around patting themselve on the back.

Kathy: Some days it feels like beating your head against a wall!
The assault on our property rights just goes on and on. I truly expect it to get worse as the Redford government gears up Agenda 21?
Yesterday was the closing deadline for the new "Property Rights Advocate" position....it will be interesting to see who gets the job? ( I sure hope it isn't Jack Hayden or Len Mitzel!).
The new Farmers Advocate (Peter Dobie) seems to take an interest (time will tell). We had him down to a directors meeting and he seems to sort of get it!
We asked that he lobby for an increase to the entry fee and some real teeth to the Surface Rights Act.....specifically section 27(4a)....which is a notification of an annual rent review? As it stands now, 27(4a) obligates the operator to inform the lessor 30 days after the 4th anniversity of the lease, of a 5 year review.....unfortunately there are no penalties if they don't comply! Some companies do, some don't!
He agreed he would try......which is more than his predecessor, Jim Kiss would do!
