    Last day at ABP

    Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that today is my last day
at ABP as Communications Manager. After 5.5 years
of driving the Deerfoot I will be working as a full-time
photographer and helping my husband with our crop
dusting company (loving the high crop prices and
    bugs!)

I will still be checking up and posting on here. My
views will be my own and not ABP's after today.

I have done the 9 to 5 thing myself, and it can't compare to being able to set your own schedule and be your own boss. I can honestly say that I don't miss full time work one little bit.

    Congratulations on obtaining your freedom!

Good luck Lori, I've always respected the manner you
addressed ABP issues on here despite it often being a
negative audience. I'm sure you will do well with your
        photography skills.

You all have been wonderful to chat with. Without
debate we are left with nothing. I've got my own
opinions on many of the issues here and I look
forward to sharing them now with my own voice.

I think we all in this industry owe a debt of gratitude to Lori, and indeed her hubby for his support.
I have had the wonderful opportunity to work indirectly with Lori from time to time across the last decade or more on a work related front. She's always been accommodating, pleasant and intelligent in all our dealings. Not surprisingly a real cow-gal at heart with a grand eye for the lens, which should mean more to us all if we spend the time to think about it.
What has impressed me most about Lori is her commitment and tenacity when it comes to her altruistic dedication to the betterment of this industry for all. She took the reins of being out front represnting thousands of producers under the ABP banner, actually had the 'cojones' to do so when I am sure others would not, and step out publicly and address topics directly and approach a dialogue with y'all. Hats off to you Lori, you remain a standard I aspire to. You're in my platooon anytime!
Best to you and happy crop dusting and image capture.
                    L. Thomas
