    Wow 1.75 / 1.90 for 500lb steers getting close
    to $1000 for a small calf.

      US prices are going way beyond that benchmark.

          I used to figure $1000 for 1000 lb animal and that
          was what a year and a half ago? Makes my long
          term goal of 1000 hd/yr of 1000 lb calves worth
          $1000 ea easier.

              The risk to these amazing feeder prices is
              the stock market. If stocks blow, so will
              commodity prices. Consider price
              protection and hope you don't use it.
