Better get your work done - Geese flyin

We were outside painting a barn when a small
flock of about 15 geese flew over headed south.
Its been 27 and 28 degrees here the last couple
days almost to hot to be outside in the heat of
    the day working.

Well they were all full size. The leaves are turning
      color in Swan Hills.

I noticed a couple flocks of cranes the other day,and they sure shouldn't be here yet.All that surplus hay from last year, might not be a surplus after this winter!

Remember that old vignette film thing that they used to put on the TV all the time?

"Canadian geese seen flying south early this year. Indicates a long and cold winter on the way!"

We can't judge things by geese flying by. They stay around here all summer. And don't leave until the lakes freeze solid.
