    Pasture Rental

Has anyone ever had any kind of paasture rent agreement that was linked to the fall price of calves? Any other ideas other then a straight dollar per AUM or acre agreement? Also, what would be a fair split if I supplied the cows, bull and summer pasture only and the renter was responsible for everything else?

    1st question - No I have not.
2nd question - Not that I know of - if it ain't broke......
3rd question - Who's checking/managing the herd on that summer pasture? Share cows that we've had in the past were 70% for us 30% for the cow owner, but we managed year round. If you supply summer pasture I'd take that as a percent of year round C.O.P and adjust accordingly. Then even more so if you check them on that summer pasture.
