    Cow in poor condition

We have a cow that does good when given Noramyacin but when we stop she goes down hill again. We gave her a 100 mls of Penicilin & Noramicin and then retreated 3 days later. She did good for about 10 days. We have also given her Noramectin (Ivomec) for worms. The vet just says to bring her in...she does not do farm visits.

I suppose you want me to answer to this one.

There isnt many our there that don't find an animal in this condition this time of year. Right now I have a Bull that is chronic.

I treated him very hard and well IV, banamine, Trivetrin and LA to cover. Now he is relapsed---He had his chance and now----No more $$$$in drugs and time.

    "Differential diagnosis is"

    1)Hard ware,chronic pneumonia,
    2)woody tongue--would be drooling
    3)peritonitis of some sort,abscess internally.---

It is common now veterinary practice is very changed. Long distance practice areas veterinarians cannot come out for the individual animal.

    Again treat the symptoms:

Magnet, antibiotics daily for 4-5 days. That is it--Move on.
