Laptop Question.

i am thinking about buying my 1st laptop. do the laptops come with a modem for dial up internet?

We have 3 laptops here. The 2 older ones are dial up ready. The newest one can't. I would make sure you ask at the shop. I've gone back to a tower, they seem to last longer. I do like the portability of the laptop but the speakers are inferior and screen smaller.

Most laptops don't have dial up capability, if you are in that situation i would suggest investing in a wireless stick from one of the cell providers. They are at lest twice as fast as dial up and give you full portability.
