Powerlines on Agricultural Land Bill 50

Bill 50 received first reading June 1, second reading is adjourned until fall.

    See:
    http://www.assembly.ab.ca/bills/2009/pdf/bill-050.pdf

What Bill 50 will do is take away the ability for the public or landowners to question the need for a powerline project. The Stelmach Government will determine the "need" for a major power line project. While the actual route would be still open to public meetings, once the "need" has been predetermined by the Stelmach Government the powerline is going to be built for certain.

Could it be that "need" is derived by whichever energy company donates the most money to the Reelect The Conservatives Fund?

Well if they ever pass Bill 50, it will eliminate those pesky landowners from the equation and there won't be any need for wiretaps or private ***** before approval of transmission routes. Our government is taking a huge right turn in its direction...just what WE don't bloody well need.

Who needs a DEMOCRACY when a VIRTUAL DICTATORSHIP will do?
