    Business Analyst
    Competition Number 07-34A

    The Position

    The Business Analyst will work in a team environment along side various technical staff and CWB business stakeholders to provide business analysis and facilitation services for evaluating opportunities and identifying creative business solutions.

    The Responsibilities


    Assisting business units focused on CWB’s supply chain in business process analysis and business process re-engineering, design and implementation of business solutions, and completing business cases for new business opportunities as required.
    Performing business analysis activities through all phases of project development following standard project and solution development methodologies.
    Contributing to development of and assisting with the review and evaluation of vendor responses to CWB Requests for Information (RFI), Quotation (RFQ) and Proposal (RFP). Includes participation in the creation of an evaluation framework.
    Assisting clients with developing implementation plans, incorporating processes, policies and organizational change management.
    Facilitating the testing of new or revised business processes as well as delivering, or assisting in the delivery of associated training.
    Maintaining a presence in client business areas, facilitating communication between the department and various business units. Working to learn and understand the client’s business, strategies, directions, challenges and opportunities.
    Facilitating and participating in strategic planning activities related to assigned projects.
    Providing facilitation services to business units for in-house meetings and workshops.
    Researching and assessing established best practices for performing business analysis. Examining and evaluating emerging tools, techniques and methodologies. Conducting research to keep abreast of possible business solutions to present to the client.
    Providing leadership and direction by contributing to the continual improvement of methods, tools and techniques and by continuously learning through experience and education.

    The Requirements


    Must have proven business analysis experience in Supply Chain Management. Must demonstrate an in-depth working knowledge of business analysis tools and techniques.
    Must possess superior analytical skills and experience in business process improvement.
    Must have excellent oral and written communications skills. Must be skilled in active listening as well as facilitation and presentation abilities.
    Must have strong leadership skills and have the proven ability to influence and lead a team of business professionals.
    Must work well within a team environment.
    Must demonstrate a positive attitude, have strong initiative and be creative and innovative.
    Must demonstrate flexibility, set high standards for themselves and be accountable for performance.
    Preference would be for individuals who have a background or expertise in solutions leveraging Oracle eBusiness Suite, or other ERP-type solutions.

      The really scarry part of this, is that CWB upper middle management is not motivated or skilled enough to carry out the obvious tasks required of them.

      So they are going to hire someone to tell them to be self diciplined and motivate them to react to markets and realities that they believe can be created with a stroke of the pen, a rule, a stern look?

      THis crew wants the world delivered on a silver platter... and will use deadly force to get it... instead of hard work and earning the respect and trust of those who create prosperity and wealth.

      I know they will not like my assesment of present middle upper management, but they have truly lost a grip on reality and what they must do to turn the ole Jolly Rodger around!
