AC Andrew on dryland

I know this should be in crop production but nobody goes there so I am asking it here.
Has anybody tried Ac andrew (or other sws) in the parkland area? We have excellant moisture this spring (crap) and I am wondering if in a high rainfall area it can be grown? Also if I have to move it through the CWB (double crap) how does it grade?

Maturity might be a concern, with lots of moisture and late seeding. Expect maturity to be later than Superb.

The other issue of concern would be high humidity at maturity, which could cause sprouting and blackpoint. Soft white spring wheats that grade feed are sometimes more difficult to market that HRSW.

CWB prices for SWSW are pretty good when all of it goes to domestic millers. However, when some of the crop need to be exported, the price really plummets.

Ron,

Soft wheat gets stuck in birds beaks and is really bad news for poultry. It sprouts very easily.

Have lots of storage and patience...
