    CWB Legislation

Some questions/comments have been made regarding CWB legislation. If you are interested in seeing the CWB Act you can find it this way:
    1. Go to Justice Canada http://canada.justice.gc.ca/
    2. Click on "laws" at the top of the page
    3. Search for "canadian wheat board" in title
... and you'll find the Act

Many producers are very familiar with the Act, Brenda, and encourage all producers to become familiar with any legislation that governs their way of doing business. We've been discussing this under CWB and Single Desk Selling. Many of us are openly stating:

    1. That the CWB is supplying producers with information that is simply not correct.

    2. That the CWB is acting beyond it's legislative authority with regards to the granting and denying of licenses.

    3. That the CWB is taking money out of the Producer Pooling Accounts and paying for regulatory costs that legislatively, must come from the Federal Government.

These are serious accusations that are levelled at the Canadian Wheat Board.

And Section 3.12 (2) of the CWB Act requires directors and officers of the Corporation to comply with the Act. And 3.12 (1)(a) states a duty of care to the Corporation.
