    Canadian and International Food Law Distance Education Certificate Program

    INTERNATIONAL FOOD LAWS DISTANCE EDUCATION CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

    Winner of the 2003 Excellence Award in College and University Distance Education from the American Distance Education Consortium (ADEC).

    Enrollment is now open for fall semester, which begins August 29, 2005, and continues for 12-14 weeks.

    Experts in food regulation from around the world teach the following eight courses:

    *International Food Laws and Regulations (Overview)

    *Canadian Food Regulation

    *United States Food Regulation

    *European Union Food Regulation

    *Latin American Food Regulation

    *Codex Alimentarius

    *OIE (World Organization for Animal Health

    *IPPC (international Plant Protection Convention)

    Two additional courses are in development for fall semester 2006:

    *Middle East Food Regulation

    *Asian Food Regulation

    Courses are held completely over the Internet with no books or transcript submission required. Students should plan to spend an average of nine hours per week on reading the modules, investigating Web links and course work assignments.

    Total tuition fall semester 2005 for each 3 credit hours course through the Lifelong Education Program at Michigan State University TO BE ANNOUNCED BY AUGUST, spring semester 2005 semester was US$912.00/course.
