    Serenity?

Quite often I get caught up in the world and am just overwhelmed by all the stuff I have going on. The one thing that really works for me is working in the garden.
I have a partner that helps me with a small market garden. I find it a very enjoyable way of relaxing. It really isn't a money maker but it is worth the effort, because I think I truly enjoy it?
We planted a few more strawberries this year as well as raspberries and also some cherries. Still waiting to put out the cucumbers and tomatoes, as it still has a tendency to freeze just about every night!
Getting ready to put the concession stand on the road! Now without a doubt...there is a little money maker!

working in the soil is good for the soul my mother used to say !
I spend every spare minute working in my yard this time of year. Planting flowers, watering, weeding etc.
Neighbour used to have some pretty iffy fences and the odd cow or calf or BULL would wander over and tramp through my yard on a regular basis. OF course the neighbour pastures his horses on his lawn ( Colorado Cowboy ) so he really couldn't understand why I would get a bit peeved !!!
Thankfully he has built about six miles of new fences this spring so hopefully the critters stay inside them.

I have a very large spray bottle that I carry with me when I am working in the yard...use it to give the cats an attitude adjustment when they think they need to lie in the flower pots or God forbid use them as a biffy !!!!!

Actually the donkeys can get their heads through the fence near some of the planters but they don't seem to favor petunias thankfully.
Am doing an Alberta Centennial yard this year...all the colors of the Alberta Flag. If it hails in July again, I will be royally 'p''d off !!!
