    AMI lawsuit

Does anyone have a potential timeline on when this AMI legal challenge to have the border opened to all Canadian product is to be heard? And if it is sucessful would it overule the temporary injunction put in place yesterday?
    Thanks

Cattle Alert: Judge Hears AMI Lawsuit To Reopen Border

AMI urged Senior U.S. District Court Judge John Garrett Penn to compel USDA to reopen the U.S. border to Canadian cattle and beef because “there is no legal or scientific reason to justify a continuation of the current ban.” In the lawsuit, AMI vs. DeHaven and Johanns, AMI argued that the U.S. border cannot remain closed and be consistent with sound science and with the findings USDA has already made that beef from Canada is safe for importation into the U.S. The government also presented its arguments supporting a continued partial embargo on Canadian beef and certain Canadian cattle.

Judge Penn took the arguments under advisement and has not indicated the timeframe for a final decision to be announced.
