Harvest completely stalled out in many areas this past 10 day with limited activity
Again this morning..
Rains continue to pop up out of nowhere.
10 day forecast “looks decent “ , but it did 10 days ago as well .
Some will get very little done in Sept , most of us have seen that before.
Wheat grades will be plummeting faster than the price . Wiseguy is right , the magnifying glass is out at the elevator.
We will sit on ours
We have had just about as much rain since harvest as the growing season here .
Far wetter west and NW of here .
Harvest will be very slow now for a while with wet ground and short days .
I think peak harvest pressure on prices will ease in time , but there is a big volume of grain to come off yet in some areas.
40% of the acres May be off provincially, but I doubt it would be 15% of the volume .
