Jun 7, 2023 | 05:31 1 Look hot but not too crazy , low wind so spraying will be full bore in this area

Weed control has been good so far and crops advancing decent. Will absolutely need rain next Tuesday/ Wednesday. Hopefully we actually get something meaningful or it won’t be pretty after that in this small pocket Reply With Quote
Jun 7, 2023 | 05:48 2 1/2 INCH rain last night will help wash in chem on corn ground sprayed in the morn. You can cut the air with a knife so I think more light shows today. Grassers spent most of the day under shady trees getting jealous looks from working humans still need more rain ! Reply With Quote

  • Jun 7, 2023 | 07:20 3 We have had 6 tenths of rain in the last 3 weeks. Crops going backwards now. Brown areas in pastures growing by the day. Still little rain in the forecast. At present it is drier than 2002 imo. Plus 30 forecast for tomorrow. Only up side is that it is good weather for Liberty application. Starting that this morning. Reply With Quote

That not good at all, areas with rain better count their blessings, we right in between, no good rain in 10 days and it won’t be good here

Count your blessings if you do not get too much rain.
Another big dump of rain and hail last night on water logged soil.
I sure could use some dryer weather although most of the damage is already done. Reply With Quote

Quick inch here tonight. Lentils are gonna be toast. Sloughs getting bigger again. Reply With Quote
Jun 7, 2023 | 21:14 14 I hate to say this but right now we are sitting about perfect. Got everything seeded and got over 3” in 4 days. We seeded into dust but seed in moist enough soil. Depends which direction you go but some just hanging on with pissy showers while others had 7” and washouts. If hoar frosts and fog is any indication July is gonna be a witch for haying but good for canola. Got the last of the cows onto native pasture today. Kept them off long as possible in case it turns dry again. Wanted to give it best chance to be resilient and last longer. Hope guys in dry areas would get a good dump before it’s too bloody late. Jun 14, 2023 | 06:06 17 Missing most of that rain last week is really starting to show in this area depending on land type

Canola about to fill in the 15 in spacing , but struggling the past few days turning blue in afternoons
Starting to bolt is not a good thing if we don’t get rain asap . Many areas far worse I know but we are on thin ice here now so to speak

Will take the same picture this afternoon, won’t be so pretty green . Reply With Quote

How do you like that pull type sprayer?
With the cost of self propelled sprayers pull type is a good option again if the tank and boom width is large enough. Reply With Quote

    1900 imp , 100 ft , 345 ac a fill with round up at 5.5
160 ac per fill at 12 gal with liberty

But need auto boom with that one though

    Paid $24,000 for it

It really helps out the SP , it’s got 3400 hrs now , and in no way for us here is it justified to even go to a good low hour used one for $600,000. Those numbers just don’t work for us
Had the ole 9270 with 12,000 hrs just in yard anyway this time of year
Can’t even get extra tires for a new one for $24,000 nowadays

A few localized areas have received some rain since but a lot of stress damage done already .
Some big change coming for Edmonton west by the looks of it , but overall not a pretty picture for most Alberta and Manitoba and 1/2 Sask
