What are the chances that this rain materializes? Can’t be many farmers that wouldn’t want rain now, if it happens in this time frame we won’t be done but is definitely welcome.

Currently raining ashes here for the last day………..

How close are you to the fires Woodland? I’d assume you’re one of the closest on here.
Think I was seeing ash with the flashlight last night but it’s definitely not big, obvious chunks by the time it gets here.

I am about 50 km from the one’s that were burning earlier but this is most likely from from 150 km west of here towards Edson.
Does smoking beef while it’s on the hood enhance the flavour? 😉
Trees disappear at 3/4 mile into the haze………..
Moisture of any form would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully next weeks forecast pulls through 🍀

Forecast changing every 6 hours
Something coming , just a matter of who gets what I think . Here hoping the very dry areas get something, and lots north and west to settle smoke and get reprieve for those near the fires

Hope it comes true but fear once Ma Nature breaks her seal the last acres could be a challenge. Have a bunch of hay seed in the shed which will get a birthday I fear. Too dry to risk broadcasting on dry dirt.

Looks like we will end up with 80-90mm over 48 hrs. Will probably have some erosion mess to deal with especially the land that was rolled, I much prefer the slower rains but we were parched and fires everywhere so can’t complain.

We put some ryegrass on top of some dry dirt thinkin it was going to rain in a few days . Whoops don't think you put in too deep or its a no show . Used coil packers instead of roller so not get soil movement on windy days oats starting to peek through.

No rain here yet, radar looked promising last night but nothing materialized. Should finish seeding tomorrow if all goes well. Tomorrow night looks like our best chance for rain, 80% chance with 25-30mm.

Ended up with half Inch that soaked in good. I don’t really want anymore right away until stuff gets growing but looks like more on the way tomorrow.
