Roughly thought about how many dollars per hour we are spending as drills are going .
Add that across western Canada this past week .
Tens of millions of $ going into the soil every hour in hopes of getting rain to get a crop .
Then think about how many of tens of thousands of jobs that are being supported by the time and money we all are putting in ground .

interesting comment furrow.
Funny how our farm groups don't make mention of those facts when Stellantis and VW manage to pull billions out of taxpayer's pockets for white elephant projects

It’s most definitely one of the biggest mega projects going on in the country. Huge job creation and economic benefits for the whole population. Brings billions into the the country from other countries.
Sad part is most of the population don’t see or have any idea it’s even going on and we have a Federal government that would like to destroy it!

It generally takes money to make money, and often without a guarantee.
The malt you grow forms part of the beer sitting in the air conditioner stream by the tractor seat. Pretty soon I forget your sobering thoughts.
Thank an inventor for GPS.

Exactly , and sadly there are those who are cheerleading this Federal Government on with the insane policies for Ag , even some on Agriville

If I had any artistic ability I’d draw this out in a diagram.
Farmers seeding, employment, and cost
⬇️
Harvest and employment
⬇️
Transport, Processing, Employment, Revenue
⬇️
Export, Employment, Revenue
⬇️
⬇️
⬇️
It’s a very involved and almost endless list that’s hung up on the basic event of putting seeds in the soil.

The Black Sea Grain Agreement has been extended for a further two months, you might be better off than you think.
Ukrainian's are so lucky to have Putin! The dictator let's them ship their grain and and fires missiles at them the very same day.

Sure not looking good for a big chunk of prairies right now, things can change quickly.
So much invested in so many ways.
A picture of a farmer is by the definition of Internal Optimist

Maybe eternal.
Speaking of internal, I've had the smoke alarms going off from cooking smoke, but yesterday was a first from opening the door to the outside non fresh air. If it keeps it up, I'm going to have to move that sucker's location.
