    Moose /deer

So have a couple dead moose and 20+ dead deer on side of highway just wondering why the coyotes eat the deer but not the Moose? Even the birds don't seem interested in Moose?

Maybe the crows, eagles and vultures aren't back yet? You must have ravens your way??

I’d guess the hide is part of it.

Birds can’t get anything besides eyes and assholes until a carnivore comes and rips them open. And if there’s 20 easier to eat into deer close by, why fight trying to chew their way through thick moose hide.

Partners is a moose expert, he would know the reason why.

Moose will lay for months before anything rips them apart. Think it has something to do with the hide. If you have a dead cow and a bull. The cow gets ripped apart long before a bull. Calves it instant
