Anybody recall a year with such market bearishness at this time? Almost every year at least a small acre buying rally at seeding time has been the norm even in the 1980's. If this keeps up there will be carry over after an average crop following a drought reduced crop. Granted wheat was above average last fall but none of the other crops were much better than average.

Farmers reluctant to sell at prices since January.

Asked the head buyer at a crusher why every day he said the price might go down.

But there are some great guys out there.

What reason?

Russia will formally cancel the Black Sea grain deal, and block all grain ships from exiting that shipping corridor.

They have postured only to extend the deal in the past, but my belief is this time they are serious. And the USA isn’t going to cave to Russia’s demands in order to keep the corridor open.
