    Driveway Ideas

We are thinking about a new driveway and pad around a farm residential near Regina. We are considering curbs, concrete, pavement or other. Suggestions would be appreciated.

If it has not got an EV stuck in six inches of snow on it, it will never be a driveway.

Both concrete and asphalt can be real good or real bad in my experience.

Helps if you have someone you trust doing the job and supplying the product.

Asphalt needs regular maintenance with that black seal coat to look good.
The grade they use to pave bridge decks is suppose to be the best.

Some of those traveling bin crews seem to do nice concrete work. Some do terrible work.

      DYOD.

Aright, since you are being serious.

Have it electrified to melt the EV problem. You will not regret it.

I would crown and pave (asphalt), no curbs, let the water run off and easy to move snow. Save the curbs and concrete for landscaping features (terraces or what have you). Price goes up quite a bit if you have to build for heavier traffic, like if you have a water truck come in to fill a cistern, vac truck to pump a septic, etc. if you don’t plan for that traffic they will wreck it.
Loops and driveway islands look good.
